BRIEF

In a footprint of just 100–120 sq. ft., LANY challenges conventional notions of retail scale. Designed as an upcoming ice cream QSR, the project transforms constraint into clarity through a brand-led spatial strategy.

At the core of the design is a deliberate move: extracting the letter ‘N’ from the LANY logo and translating it into a monolithic kitchen island. This sculptural insertion anchors the kiosk both visually and operationally, turning identity into infrastructure. The form is not decorative—it organizes circulation, integrates equipment, and defines the customer interface within a tightly calibrated layout.

Efficiency drove every decision. Back-of-house requirements were compressed without compromising workflow, while the counter geometry was softened to echo the fluidity of soft-serve ice cream. The result is a spatial language that feels cohesive rather than compressed.

Materiality reinforces precision. Stainless steel wraps three sides, introducing durability and visual sharpness, while a saturated blue drawn from the brand palette injects immediacy and recall. The contrast establishes a clear, contemporary retail expression.

LANY demonstrates how even the smallest format can carry architectural intent—where brand, function, and form converge into a singular, disciplined space.
